The new chilean cinema...
I wanted to tell all of you in the states that there are great chilean movies coming out. There has been tons of hype here for "Se Arrienda" (For Rent.. which is actually about a music composer!!) and "Play". They are beautiful and modern movies that show a very colorful and cosmpolitan side of Santiago and are starting a new cinematography trend here in Chile. "Play" actually won the "best direction" award at the Tribeca film festival in NY. If you guys wanna check it out, go to www.playlapelicula.cl

actually, Se Arrienda is an excellent film.
It's really great that movies down here, in our beloved but very southern country, are getting better, and more mass produced also, I guess..
Who knows, maybe now you guys will be able to see them in theaters up there in the states..
